Kebun-Kebun Komuniti Putrajaya (Putrajaya Community Gardens)

Rooted in the 2008 Kempen Bumi Hijau and operating under the Local Agenda 21 (LA21) Putrajaya framework, the Putrajaya City Agriculture Program empowers residents to embrace a holistic green lifestyle encompassing urban farming, environmental preservation, energy/water saving, and recycling. The initiative features five primary Community Gardens across Precincts 8, 9, 14, and 16, alongside specialized stingless bee (Kelulut) farms in Taman Rimba Desa (P9) and Precinct 15H. High-yield crops like rockmelons and chilies generate sustainable supplementary income and are used as corporate souvenirs by government agencies. Perbadanan Putrajaya is actively expanding the program to encompass agro-tourism and diversify urban food sources for greater economic returns.
